Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and Singer (born in the city of New York on the 22nd of November 1984) The versatility of her work as an actor has garnered many accolades, from dramas of the past to suspenseful films and adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and raised there by her architect father and producer mother. Her twin brother Hunter and her were her youngest siblings. Her interest began in acting at a young age auditioning for commercials by the age of seven. Her interest in acting grew quickly and she enrolled soon after at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the age of eight, she starred with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry, and at nine she made her debut in film in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson then appeared in Just Cause, but she made her debut with Manny & Lo, a film that follows orphaned siblings as they flee. The film, The Horse Whisperer, Johansson was a teenager who suffered a horrific accident. Her role in Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. Like numerous young actresses, she began her stage career. She also worked in other initiatives across the USA and Canada, but Wildflower was her debut on stage production.
