Molly was raised and born in Pennsylvania. Her first professional life when she was thirteen, at Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Then, she played Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and was nominated for a Barrymore Award. Molly reprised the role in the production when she made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway, in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly also appeared in Broadway for the reprise of Fiddler on the Roof. Molly then went to Princeton University where she was a member of the Triangle Club and graduated in 2008 with the degree of a B.A. in Religion. In this period she made her acting debut in the role of Wendy Greenhut in Disney's College Road Trip. Molly started her acting career following having completed her Off-Broadway stage debuts, such as End Days and The Wonderful Maladys on HBO Pilot. Molly was in a variety of regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and the Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre as well as Westport Country Players' production of The Diary of Anne Frank. She was Anne. Molly is best known as the character Ali, a teenage daughter, in Paranormal Activity 2, a film from 2010, in which Jack Burditt wrote and directed the ABC comedy Last Man Standing starring Tim Allen.
