Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY, born on 17 March the 17th of March, 1988) also known as Grimes she is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, recording producer, and singer. Her early work was called "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4that draws inspiration from hip-hop, electronic and rock. Her lyrics often touch to science fiction and feminist themes. Five studio albums have been released by her. Growing up in Vancouver (later relocated from there to Montreal), Grimes began independently releasing music in the late 2000s with two albums released, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa from 2010 via Arbutus Records. The album was released in 2012 and Visions was her third studio album. She signed with 4AD. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" as well as being awarded the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. The album that she released as her fourth studio effort Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It was praised highly from critics and many magazines voted it to be the top album of the year. Sixteen years later, her fifth album Miss Anthropocene, was launched in the year 2020. Aside from music, Grimes had a voice role in the 2020 gaming action Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the competition for musicians game show Alter Ego.
